Health, Well-Being & Fitness

We know that healthy lifestyles are achieved through nurturing mind, body and spirit. Health, well-being and fitness at the Y is more than just working out. In addition to our group exercise classes and facilities, we provide educational programs to promote healthier decisions and offer a variety of programs that support physical, intellectual and spiritual strength. Adult Aquatics

Adult Aquatics at the Y provides additional aquatic training for adults in the following areas:

  • Masters Swimming
  • Adult Swim Lessons (private or group)
  • Lifeguard Training & Water Safety Classes

Program Registration

Weight Lifting and Toning

Increase muscle tone and strength with guided instruction using the select rise weight machines, resistance cords, stability balls and medicine balls. This class is for those new to strength training, or want more instruction.

Personal Training: Train Smarter. Not Harder.

Your body is unique, and your fitness regimen should be as well. At the Y, our nationally-certified Personal Trainers can assist you in reaching your fitness and weight loss goals through one-on-one or group settings. Wellness Orientations

TThsi free program is designed for individuals new to health & wellness, need a re-introduction to fitness, or who are looking for guidance with their current fitness routine. Trained wellness coaches will tour members around the wellness center, and introduce them to basic cardio and strength training equipment.

Teen Fitness

The YMCA wants to provide teens with recreational programs and activities in a safe and positive environment, to enhance their personal and social skills. Parents, please assist the Y by scheduling your teen for our active teens classes, and remind them to wear their wellness center pass at all times. Teen programs include:

  • Active Teens: Cardio Orientation (Ages 10-11)
  • Strong Teens: Strength Orientation (Ages 12-13)

Chronic Disease Management can you adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles that will help you reduce your risk. YMCA Prevention Programs may include:

Wellness Challenges

Wellness challenges are a great way to jump start your workout program and increase motivation! We’ll provide the wellness challenge for you, all you have to do is complete it! Wellness challenges may include:

  • Fall Challenge: Holiday Holdout
  • Winter Challenge: Group Fitness BYNGO
  • Spring Challenge: Sweat Equity
