Seasonal Lifeguard

This part time position operates as part of the Aquatics Department.

The Lifeguard will provide direct supervision of the pool and provide a quality experience to children and parents. Rules will be enforced in a polite, courteous, fair and consistent manner. Focus will be on safety and the YMCA's core values.

Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certification is required, but can be provided upon hire.

This is a seasonal position working June 1st - September 7th. Variety of shifts are available.

Seasonal Swim Instructor

This part-time position operates as part of the Aquatics Department.

The Swim Instructor will build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents while instructing swimming lessons in accordance with the YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly. All YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures will be followed.

Swim Instructor certification will be provided upon hire.

This is a seasonal position working June 1st - September 7th. Variety of shifts are available Monday - Thursday from 9 am - 7:30 pm.

YMCA Child Care, Assistant Teacher

This part-time position operates as part of the YMCA Child Care Department, working in the K-Readiness classroom from 7:15 am - 1:00 pm.

Required to have some level of post-secondary education, preferably in early childhood.

Under the direction of the Child Care Director and the Lead Teacher, this individual will implement developmentally appropriate activities for an assigned group of children and assist the Lead Teacher as needed.

Housekeeping

This part time position operates as part of the Building and Grounds Department.

Job Summary
Cleaning, sanitizing, wet and dust mopping, scrubbing, polishing, trash removal and supply stocking, in locker room facilities, restroom facilities, group fitness studios, hallways and gymnasiums. Additional duties may include vacuuming, window washing, meeting set up, trash removal and other related general cleaning responsibilities. 

Flexible shifts are available including daytime, afternoon or evening hours. 

Background in housekeeping or cleaning of any kind are beneficial.

Weekend Wellness Coach

This part-time position operates as part of the Health & Wellness Department.

Under the direction of the Wellness Coordinator, a Wellness Coach oversees the entire wellness of, and provides orientations to YMCA members.

Currently seeking applicants with weekend availability. 

Wellness Coaches must be energetic, dedicated to the safety and individual needs of members, and demonstrate the YMCA core values. This individual must have the flexibility and physical endurance to demonstrate all pieces of cardiovascular and strength equipment.

Building Supervisor

This part-time position operates as part of the Membership & Marketing Department.

This position requires availability to open/close the YMCA Fridays - Sundays (weekends only). Background in customer service, supervisory/management communication and human relations skills of any kind are beneficial.

This person is responsible for the safety of all members, guests and staff in the YMCA facility. The Building Supervisor is an ambassador for the YMCA and should ensure high standards of customer service. The building supervisor should be someone who is never tardy and always prepared to deliver excellent customer service to all members and program participants.
