YMCA Child Care Assistant Teacher

Our early childhood center is looking for a dynamic and passionate Assistant Teacher who want to make a difference and impact the lives of the children in our center. Assistant Teachers will help implement innovative lesson plans and enhance the learning environment for our children. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working with children, understands how they learn and is dedicated to creating a nurturing learning atmosphere for every child. You will have the freedom to act silly, create adventures, and teach children lifelong lessons that go beyond the classroom.

Under the direction of the Child Care Staffing Coordinator and the Lead Teacher, this individual will implement developmentally appropriate activities for an assigned group of children and assist the Lead Teacher as needed.

This is a full-time position working in the Pre-School Classroom with children ages 3-5 years old from 8:15 am - 5:15 pm.

Summer Seasonal Groundskeeper

We're looking for individuals who love to be outside in the summer months!

Duties include maintaining the landscaping and lawns of the YMCA grounds, and complete duties related to lawn mowing, trimming, weeding, landscaping and general upkeep of exterior YMCA property.

Grounds keeping experience preferred, but not required. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Swim Instructor

The YMCA aquatics program is hiring enthusiastic, safety conscious, customer focused individuals that are looking for an opportunity and have a passion for water safety!

Do you like to teach? Are you comfortable in the water and know the basic strokes? Do you want to make a difference in your community? The YMCA Swim Instructor  role offers career development, a great mission to get behind, and is a FUN environment.

This part-time position operates as part of the Aquatics Department.

The Swim Instructor will build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents while instructing swimming lessons in accordance with the YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly. All YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures will be followed.

Swim Instructor certification will be provided upon hire.

Lifeguard

Lifeguards provide direct supervision of the pool and provide a quality experience to children and parents. Rules will be enforced in a polite, courteous, fair, and consistent manner, focusing on safety and the YMCA's core values.

Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certification is required, but can be provided upon hire.
