Membership Coordinator

At the Y, our members are our mission.

The Y is looking for the perfect person to foster loyalty among the people who mean the most to us. To put it plainly, if you love people, this job is for you.

The Membership Coordinator is responsible for all member services functions, including member recruitment, retention, and enrollment. This person will supervise the membership staffing team and support regional strategic marketing and communication initiatives that drive membership, program and child care enrollment.

Full-time position with great benefits! Compensation is based on experience.

Distance Learning Mentor

This part-time position will monitor and assist students in grades Kindergarten - 5th grade with distance learning support.

Essential functions include:

  1. Assist students with completing school assignments.
  2. Help students develop study skills to improve academic performance.
  3. Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents/guardians regarding child’s development.
  4. Guide children’s behavior using positive, consistent, developmentally appropriate child guidance methods.
  5. Provide activities for students that support their school’s required curriculum.
  6. Demonstrate imagination and resourcefulness in working with assigned students.
  7. Create a safe environment for children.
  8. Implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values.
  9. Be knowledgeable and responsible for implementing emergency procedures.
  10. Take responsibility for program area tidiness, equipment and materials.
  11. Arrive at work on time and be accountable for given break/lunch time.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

School's Out Day Camp Counselor

This seasonal, part-time position, operates as part of the Youth & Family Department working on non-school days within the day camp program.

The Day Camp Counselor is responsible for leading and implementing programs and experiences for children in a small group setting.  They will also be responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of the participants in his/her group.  The incumbent will provide high quality outdoor educational and recreational experiences for participants that focus on the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Lifeguard

This part-time position operates as part of the Aquatics Department.

The Lifeguard will provide direct supervision of the pool and provide a quality experience to children and parents. Rules will be enforced in a polite, courteous, fair, and consistent manner. The focus will be on safety and the YMCA's core values.

Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certification is required but can be provided upon hire.

A variety of shifts are available.

Swim Instructor

This part-time position operates as part of the Aquatics Department.
