Infant Assistant Teacher

Your Role as an Infant AT

Your role is to work closely with the Lead Teacher and other staff to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where infants can grow, learn, and thrive during their earliest developmental stages. Your pivotal responsibilities include: 

  • Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. 

  • Implement a daily schedule that includes feeding, diapering, napping, playtime, and structured activities. 

  • Provide constant supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of infants in your care. 

  • Maintain open and positive communication with parents/guardians, including daily updates on infants' activities, feedings, and diaper changes. 

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth operation of the infant program. 

  • Provide leadership in the absence of the Lead Teacher by taking on additional responsibilities and ensuring the smooth operation of the classroom. 

Experience and Education Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Some level of post-secondary education is preferred, particularly in early childhood education. 

  • Alternatively, you can enroll in the Child Development Associate (CDA) program within 30 days of hire. CDA scholarships are available for qualified applicants! 

  • Prior experience working with infants or young children is preferred. 

  • Patience, compassion, and a love for working with infants. 

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). 

  • Ability to pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements.

Preschool Assistant Teacher

Your Role as an Assistant Teacher 

Your role is to work closely with the Lead Teacher to implement the curriculum, facilitate learning activities, and ensure the overall well-being and development of the young learners in your care. Your pivotal responsibilities include: 

  • Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities that encourage cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. 

  • Assist in managing the preschool classroom, including organizing materials, setting up learning centers, and maintaining a clean and safe environment conducive to learning. 

  • Provide attentive and nurturing supervision to ensure the safety and security of preschoolers during all activities. 

  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians, offering updates on daily activities, achievements, and any concerns related to the well-being and development of the preschoolers. 

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth operation of the preschool program. 

  • Provide leadership in the absence of the Lead Teacher by taking on additional responsibilities and ensuring the smooth operation of the classroom. 

Experience and Education Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

As the Youth Development Director, your mission is to ignite excitement and drive positive change. Collaborating closely with our leadership team, you will spearhead the creation and oversight of thrilling programs that leave an indelible mark on young lives. Here, in the heart of this transformative journey, lie your exhilarating responsibilities: 

  • Develop, enhance, lead, and oversee exceptional youth programs that develop social-emotional skills, foster achievement, support academic growth and provide enrichment. 

  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule, and direct personnel. Review and evaluate performance.  

  • Recruit, train, and support cause-driven program volunteers. 

  • Develop and manage department budget, including timely and accurate forecasting and analysis, ensure the department operates in a fiscally sound manner and achieves financial goals. 

  

Experience and Education Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, recreation or equivalent. 

  • One to three years’ experience working with youth in organized settings.  

  • Proven ability to lead and direct programs through supervision of staff and volunteers. 

  • Experience operating in a complex, multi-faceted organization.  

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make presentations, and develop authentic and deepened relationships. 

  • Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.

  • Work collaboratively and supervise assistant teachers, aides, and other staff members to ensure a smooth operation of the preschool program.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, related field or equivalent experience is required.

  • Experience working with young children, including experience as an assistant teacher, student teacher, or similar roles preferred.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for preschool education and kindergarten readiness

  • Experience in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.

  • Familiarity with child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Ability to pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
