Couch to 5K

June 10 - July 17

The Couch to 5K program is designed for Alexandria area individuals who are brand-new to running and can not run for more than a few minutes without walking. The goal will be to run a 5K by the last week of the class, to build your confidence to go out and sign up for your first official 5K!

 

What to Expect:
  • We will start with very short run intervals and over time increase our total running time.
  • We will run outdoors, weather permitting
  • Each class will include a dynamic warm-up, 30-45 minutes of run/walk intervals, and stretching.

 

Details:
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays
  • 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.
  • YMCA Members: $135
  • Non-Members: $165
