As a Front Desk Staff member, you'll be the friendly face that greets and welcomes everyone who enters the YMCA. Your role is crucial in delivering exceptional service to our members, guests, and program participants. From answering inquiries to promoting memberships and programs, you'll play a vital part in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

We're currently seeking dedicated individuals to fill part-time Front Desk Staff positions. Available shifts include:

Weekday Shifts:

  • 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Weekend Shifts:

  • 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Essential Functions

  • Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
  • Conducts interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships.
  • Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.
  • Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
  • Applies all YMCA policies and procedures with member services.
  • Distributes membership supplies as needed.
  • Monitors member code of conduct and facility use as required.

Qualifications

  • Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED and First Aid.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
  • Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.
