The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. The program teaches how to get started with a business, working with parents and children, and key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips. This course is coupled with Basic First Aid certification. To achieve certification, participants must pass a written evaluation and perform the required skills competently without assistance.
This course is a combination of web-based and classroom learning. The web-based learning segment is assigned one week prior to class, and must be completed prior to the in-person session. The combination of online and in-person lectures and class activities makes sure to keep the course engaging, informative and fun.
