FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to be a YMCA member to join?

No. Tri-Aqua is open to both Alexandria Area YMCA members and community guests. Non-members simply register at the non-member rate to participate.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Yes. Because this class incorporates lap swimming and suspended exercises in the deep end of the pool, participants should be comfortable swimming independently.

Can I take the class if I'm pregnant?

Water fitness is widely considered one of the safest, most beneficial workouts during healthy pregnancies due to buoyant joint relief. However, we always recommend consulting your healthcare provider before starting any new fitness routine.
